ETHICAL SOURCING & IMPACT

Fair Trade Coffee from Rwanda

Imizi's fair trade commitment to Rwandan coffee farmers: fair prices, transparent sourcing and community impact. A better coffee story is built together.

PILLAR ONE · FARMER EQUITY

Fair Prices for Exceptional Cherries

Specialty coffee isn’t made by machines—it is nurtured by generations of Rwandan farming families. We guarantee prompt above-market payments and seasonal quality bonuses directly to the smallholders who hand-harvest every ripe crimson cherry.

PILLAR TWO · OPEN SOURCING

Radical Supply Chain Transparency

Every batch of imizi coffee is fully traceable back to its washing station, sector, and altitude zone. We share our lot cupping scores and pricing breakdowns openly with roaster partners and consumers worldwide.

PILLAR THREE · REGENERATION

Soil & Forest Stewardship

Our coffee is shade-grown beneath native acacia, albizia, and fruit trees on Rwanda’s fertile volcanic slopes. We recycle coffee cherry pulp into organic compost to nourish the topsoil without synthetic fertilizers.

PILLAR FOUR · COMMUNITY

Healthcare & Education Reinvestment

A portion of every kilogram sold is reinvested into community Mutuelle de Santé (healthcare insurance) coverage and school learning materials for the children of harvest workers in our partner washing sectors.

VOICES FROM THE HARVEST

“When we sell to imizi, we know our hard work is honored. We receive our payments promptly and can invest back into our farm and children’s education.”
